Clay court season ahead

Tennis Academy Burgenland can look back on a successful March. The young talents were able to prove themselves in various tournaments and compete against strong competition.

The ÖTV Youth Indoor Championships 2023 in Oberpullendorf and Wolfsberg were the first highlight of the month. Constantin Neubauer and Thilo Behrmann showed their skills in the U16 category and secured the Austrian doubles indoor championship title with a 6-4 6-7 10- 8 victory against Maislinger and Gschiel. Henri Mayer also impressed in the U12 category and reached the quarterfinals in singles after wins against Schmitzer and Fath. Together with his doubles partner Ricky Kletter, he made it to the semifinals.

The players of the Tennis Academy Burgenland also showed their potential at international tournaments. At the J30 WINDHOEK U18 tournament in Namibia, Constantin Neubauer, just 15 years old, reached the semifinals and lost there to the top-seeded Brit Singh with a score of 3-6 6-7.

Now the Tennis Academy Burgenland is preparing for the clay court season. The next challenge for the young talents are the ITF tournaments in Güssing and Vienna in April. We are excited to see how the players of the Tennis Academy Burgenland will perform on clay court and wish them success in the upcoming tournaments!
